Methodology to extract sidewalk centerline information from high-resolution aerial imagery.

pathVu received a Digital Bridge Manufacturing Engineering Award from Catalyst Connection.  Catalyst partnered with On3Spatial to provide pathVu with machine learning (ML) and geographic information services (GIS) support.  These services included ML strategy, software development, training, and testing.  The final deliverable included this white paper, which documents a methodology to extract sidewalk centerline information from high-resolution aerial imagery.  The project deliverables include recommended tools to use for sidewalk data extraction and sample outputs.

Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG)

The Access Board has published new guidelines under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) that address access to sidewalks and streets, crosswalks, curb ramps, pedestrian signals, on-street parking, and other components of public right-of-way. These guidelines also review shared use paths, which are designed primarily for use by bicyclists and pedestrians for transportation and recreation purposes.
